In this episode, Jennifer Connelly reflects on her experiences as a kid growing up in New York, on becoming a model at the age of ten and acting in her first film at eleven, on why she left Yale, and on what it was like to win an Oscar.
Legendary filmmaker Sergio Leone cast Jennifer for her first film, “Once Upon a Time in America” with Robert DeNiro. At age fourteen she worked with Jim Henson and David Bowie in the film “Labyrinth.”
Speaking frankly with James Lipton, Connelly reveals how difficult she found her sex scenes in the films “Mulholland Falls” and “Requiem for a Dream.” She also discusses her work in other films including her celebrated performance as Alicia Nash in “A Beautiful Mind,” as well as “Inventing the Abbotts,” “Dark City,” “Hulk,” “House of Sand and Fog,” and her upcoming release “Dark Water.”
