Season 11, Episode 1102

Original Airdate: November 14, 2004

Mark Wahlberg was born in Dorchester, a working class district of Boston to parents Alma and Donald Wahlberg.

The youngest of nine children, Wahlberg's family was further strained after his parents' divorce when Mark was just eleven years old. After the divorce, Wahlberg dropped out of high school at age 14 and ended up spending 50 days in prison serving out a sentence for assault.

After this experience, Wahlberg decided to turn his life around. A brief stint in brother Donnie's band - New Kids on the Block - turned into a recording contract and a smash hit album from his rap group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Wahlberg's first film role came in Penny Marshall's 1994 Renaissance Man. Other films soon followed: The Basketball Diaries, Fear, Boogie Nights, Three Kings, and The Perfect Storm to name a few. His most recent projects include I [Heart] Huckabees, which he stars in along with Jude Law, Dustin Hoffman and Naomi Watts, and Brian DePalma's The Black Dahlia.
